HONEST PROJECT

Helping ONE School at a Time

Education is a way out of poverty and it is essential for a fulfilling life in the 21st century. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy, school-specific activities, and collaborations, we works to contribute our part to the greater good and a better Nigeria.

ABOUT

Our Story

HONEST is an acronym for Helping ONE School at a Time. After visiting a local school in the village behind our house in Nigeria, we had to do something.

The students are enthusiastic, the teachers are committed and the administration is willing but there is a significant gap in resources and infrastructure necessary for a high-quality education.

We believe that education is a way out of poverty and a crucial foundation for a fulfilling life in the 21st century. We also know that we need to start making the changes we want to see in our communities and in the world.

This belief system coupled with a desire to impact our immediate community and a determination to be part of the solution to one of the numerous problems in Nigeria, birthed the HONEST Project.

HONEST Projects are carefully tailored for each school and planned to ensure they incorporate sustainability plans and evaluation tools that measure impact.

The HONEST Project activities aim to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning.
